Personal Branding for Doctors: What to Share Online
Personal branding for doctors: what to share on Instagram and LinkedIn, what to avoid, and what India's NMC and Dubai's DHA publish. Not legal advice.
Personal Brand
Educational, accurate content and a clear online profile for doctors, written with the advertising rules of your profession in mind.
Overview
Personal branding for doctors means making sure patients who look you up find clear, accurate and educational information about you, and not an old listing, a stranger's review or nothing at all. It is not self-promotion. In India and the UAE the advertising rules for doctors are strict, so the work is built around explaining, not selling. We write and edit. You decide what is true and what goes out.
A patient usually checks a doctor three times before booking: a Google search, a look at the profile and clinic site, and a quick scroll of social posts. If those three disagree, or say little, trust drops. We bring them into line. Your name, qualifications, registration details, languages, clinic address and areas of interest are published correctly and in plain language. Educational posts and short videos then show how you explain things to a patient.
Medicine is regulated, so we are careful. We do not use before-and-after images, we do not promise outcomes and we do not use patient testimonials in marketing. We are not lawyers and do not give legal advice. You confirm every piece of content with your council before it is published.

Signs you need it
If one of these sounds familiar, you are in the right place.
What is included
A short written positioning of your practice, then rewritten bios for LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube and your clinic pages, using only facts you confirm.
Posts, carousels and short videos that explain a condition, a test or what to expect at a first visit, in plain language, without promising results.
Scripts, light direction and editing for videos you record on a phone, with captions and a clear on-screen name and designation.
A fast, clear page with your qualifications, registration details, practice areas, languages, clinic locations and a booking link.
Set-up and cleaning of the clinic's listing: correct name, categories, hours, address and photos. We do not buy reviews or write them for you.
Consistent, accurate facts about you on your site and profiles, so an assistant asked about you has correct information to work from. We cannot promise to be named.

Core tools we use
The full toolkit, grouped by job, is on the Personal Branding page.
How it works
A call about your practice, then a review of your search results, profiles and listings to see what a patient sees today.
We write down what we will and will not publish, using your council's rules as you understand them. You confirm with the council where you are unsure.
We fix profiles, publish the page and draft the first month of content. You approve each item before it goes live.
A steady rhythm of educational posts and video, and a monthly review of what was published and what patients asked.
Straight answer: Rules for the profession come first. Content follows the advertising rules that apply to the profession, to be confirmed with the relevant council. In India that means the National Medical Commission and your state medical council. In the UAE it means the health authority for your emirate, such as DHA in Dubai, DoH in Abu Dhabi or MOHAP for the northern emirates. We do not provide legal advice and do not claim compliance on your behalf. You must confirm the final content with your council. We do not use before-and-after images, promise outcomes or use patient testimonials in marketing, and we do not buy followers or reviews.

Flexible on scope. Firm on price. Prices are indicative starting points: we shape the plan around your budget, and once we agree in writing, the price does not change.

Still have a question?
Thirty minutes with us usually answers everything, including whether we are the right fit.
The National Medical Commission published guidelines on ethical advertising and public communication in October 2026, read with older medical ethics regulations. As we read news reports of them, they allow factual announcements and educational content, and object to patient testimonials, before-and-after images, exaggerated claims and fake reviews. We have not read every clause of the official text. Your state medical council is the place to confirm what applies to you.
DHA has published Standards for Medical Advertisement Content in Social Media for licensed facilities and professionals. Reports describe it as warning against absolute or exaggerated wording such as claims of no side effects or guaranteed results. Other emirates and regulators have their own rules, for example DoH in Abu Dhabi. We read the standard through summaries, so confirm the current text and any approval steps with your regulator.
No. We do not use patient testimonials, patient photos or before-and-after images in marketing. Both the Indian and Dubai guidance we reviewed treat these as high risk. Educational content, explanations and facts about your practice are what we write instead.
No. We cannot promise outcomes of any kind, and promising them would go against the same advertising principles we follow. What we can do is make your online presence accurate, clear and consistent, so the patients who do look you up find a doctor they can understand.
You do, every time. Our drafts come to you with a short note of the facts we used. Where you are unsure whether a post fits the rules, you check with your council before publishing. We do not publish medical content without your written approval.
We help you set up the listing and show you how patients can leave honest feedback if the rules allow it for you. We do not buy reviews, write reviews or ask staff to post them. Under Indian guidance, fake reviews and ratings are specifically named as a violation.
If you work in a hospital, check your employer's rules first, because the hospital may control how doctors are presented. A personal page helps when you own a clinic or practise independently. It gives a patient or an AI assistant one reliable source for your qualifications and practice areas.
We keep video to explanation: what a condition is, what a test involves, how to prepare for a visit. We do not film procedures or patients for promotion. Rules on filming in clinical settings differ by regulator, so confirm with yours before any such idea goes further.
