Overview

Android apps, in plain words

Android development is mostly about variety. Your customers use many brands, screen sizes and system versions, and an app that looks fine on one phone can break on another. As an Android app development company, we test across a spread of devices before release.

We usually build in React Native or Flutter, which also gives you iOS. If your product needs deep device access, we plan a native build and say why.

Google reviews apps before they go live, and its timing is not ours to promise.

Who it is for

  • Businesses whose customers or field staff mostly use Android
  • Founders who want the widest reach for a first version
  • Teams with an app that crashes on certain devices
  • Owners new to the Play Console

What you get

  • A working Android app you can install from the early weeks
  • A Google Play listing and data safety answers ready
  • Test results across a range of devices and Android versions
  • Play Console account and signing keys registered in your name

Signs you need it

Problems this work fixes

If one of these sounds familiar, you are in the right place.

  1. It crashes on phones we never triedAndroid runs on a huge range of hardware. A bug that never shows on a test phone can hit real users.
  2. The app is slow on cheaper phonesMany people use phones with less memory than developers carry. We check speed and battery use on modest hardware.
  3. Play Store requirements keep changingGoogle updates what it asks for in privacy answers and target versions. Missing one can block a release. We keep your checklist current.
  4. The signing key sits on someone's laptopIf a former developer holds your key, updates get hard. We set keys up in your Google Play account.

What is included

What we do, part by part

  • 01

    Planning and screen design

We agree the first version's features and design to Android conventions. You approve screens before building starts.

  • 02

    App development

We build the app and back-end, including sign-in, notifications, payments and offline behaviour where needed.

  • 03

    Device and version testing

We test real phones across sizes, makers and Android versions. Findings are fixed and re-checked before release.

  • 04

    Performance work

We look at start-up time, memory and battery use, especially on lower-end phones. The app should feel quick for everyone.

  • 05

    Google Play release

We prepare the listing and data safety answers, then publish through your account. Staged rollouts show problems early.

  • 06

    Post-launch fixes

Thirty days of fixes come with every project. An optional plan then handles Android updates.

How it works

How the work runs

  1. Agree the plan and price

We shape the scope around your budget. Once agreed in writing, the price does not change.

  2. Choose devices to test on

We list the phones and versions your customers use. That list drives our testing.

  3. Build and test weekly

You get a working build each week. We test as we go instead of leaving it to the end.

  4. Release in stages

We publish through your Play Console, often to a small group first. We fix anything that shows up before everyone gets it.

Straight answer: We test a sensible spread of devices, but nobody can test every Android phone. Rare device problems may appear after launch, and we fix those in the post-launch period. We cannot promise a Google Play review date.

Quick answers

About cost and timing

The things people ask right after they see a price.

Cost follows scope: sign-in, payments, real-time features and an admin panel all add to it. The page shows our mobile starting price. We scope your app on a call and fix the price in writing. Flexible on scope. Firm on price.

Our mobile projects typically take 8 to 16 weeks to reach store submission, depending on features and how fast content and accounts are ready. Google's review adds time we do not control. You get a dated plan after the call.

How we contract

Clear terms, before you spend anything

The commercial side in plain words. The full wording is in our terms, and your proposal sets the details.

  1. A written proposal comes firstScope, deliverables, milestones, price and timeline, in writing. Work starts when you accept it.
  2. The price does not moveOnce agreed, the number in the proposal is the number on the invoice. Changes to scope are quoted as a written change request and only built once you approve them.
  3. You pay by milestoneProjects are paid in milestones set in your proposal. No project is billed in full upfront. Invoices are payable within 14 days unless your agreement says otherwise.
  4. You own the workCode, designs and accounts are registered to your company from day one. We keep our own pre-existing tools and methods.
  5. No lock-inEither side can end a project with written notice, and you pay for the work done up to then. Retainers run month to month with 30 days written notice.
  6. 30 days of fixes after launchDefects in what we delivered are fixed for 30 days after launch. New features and third-party changes are quoted separately.

Questions about android apps

The things people ask before they book. If yours is missing, ask us on a call or on WhatsApp.

Still have a question?

Thirty minutes with us usually answers everything, including whether we are the right fit.

We agree a device list with you covering common makers, screen sizes and Android versions among your users. We test real phones from that list, plus emulators for the rest. It cuts the risk a lot, though not every edge case.

Yes. Google charges a one-time registration fee, paid to Google. The account should be in your name so you control the listing and signing keys. We guide you through setup and then publish as collaborators inside your own account, never ours.

It depends on who your first users are. If they mostly use Android, start there, and add iOS later. If you will want both within a year, a shared codebase usually costs less than two builds. We give a direct recommendation after hearing about your customers.

We set a minimum Android version together, balancing reach against cost. Supporting very old versions adds work and can limit features. We tell you what each choice costs and which share of your users it may affect, if you can share that data.

Often, yes. We review the code first and tell you plainly whether fixing or rebuilding is cheaper. Crashes on certain devices are common and usually fixable. If the foundation is poor, we say so before you spend more money on it.
