Overview

React Native apps, in plain words

React Native lets one team build an iOS app and an Android app from a single codebase in TypeScript. That usually means lower cost and one codebase to maintain. As a React Native app development company, we use it by default for apps built from screens, forms, lists, maps and payments.

We work with Expo, which simplifies building, testing and releasing.

It is not the right tool for everything. We say so plainly when it is not.

Who it is for

  • Startups wanting iOS and Android without two builds
  • Businesses whose web team already knows JavaScript or TypeScript
  • Owners of a native app wanting one codebase
  • Teams that want to ship small updates often

What you get

  • One codebase that produces both an iOS and an Android app
  • Store-ready builds for the App Store and Google Play
  • A release setup for small fixes, where store rules allow
  • Any native pieces written down

Signs you need it

Problems this work fixes

If one of these sounds familiar, you are in the right place.

  1. Two apps mean two budgetsBuilding iOS and Android separately roughly doubles work and upkeep. With a shared codebase, a fix is written once and ships to both.
  2. A cross-platform app that feels cheapBadly built apps feel slow or odd. The cure is craft and testing on real phones.
  3. Plugins that break after an updateApps lean on third-party packages and some get abandoned. We choose maintained libraries and upgrade deliberately.
  4. A hidden need for native codeSome features, such as unusual Bluetooth devices, need native modules. Finding that late is expensive, so we check in planning.

What is included

What we do, part by part

  • 01

    Planning and technology check

We flag features that could be hard in React Native. Then we decide whether it fits you.

  • 02

    Design for each platform

Screens follow iOS and Android habits where it matters, such as back behaviour. Most code stays shared.

  • 03

    Build with TypeScript and Expo

Expo handles builds, testing and over-the-air updates where permitted.

  • 04

    Back-end and integrations

We build or connect sign-in, data, push notifications and payments.

  • 05

    Migration from native

We review an existing app and say whether moving is worth it.

  • 06

    Store submission and upkeep

We submit to both stores and cover 30 days of fixes after launch. An optional plan keeps you current with new OS versions.

How it works

How the work runs

  1. Check the fit

We read your feature list and flag anything needing native code. If React Native is wrong, you hear it now.

  2. Agree scope and price

We shape the plan around your budget. After that, the price does not change.

  3. Build and show weekly

You run a real build on an iPhone and an Android phone each week.

  4. Release to both stores

We prepare and submit to both stores, then stay for the post-launch fixes. Store decisions remain theirs.

Straight answer: React Native is not the best answer for every app. Games, heavy 3D or video work, and unusual hardware are often better native. We will tell you if that is you, even if it means a smaller project for us.

Quick answers

About cost and timing

The things people ask right after they see a price.

Usually less than building iOS and Android separately, because most code is shared. Payments, real-time data and an admin panel add cost. We scope it on a call and fix the price in writing. Flexible on scope. Firm on price.

Our mobile projects typically run 8 to 16 weeks to store submission. A focused first version lands near the short end. You get a dated plan after the call, and store review time comes on top, which we do not control.

How we contract

Clear terms, before you spend anything

The commercial side in plain words. The full wording is in our terms, and your proposal sets the details.

  1. A written proposal comes firstScope, deliverables, milestones, price and timeline, in writing. Work starts when you accept it.
  2. The price does not moveOnce agreed, the number in the proposal is the number on the invoice. Changes to scope are quoted as a written change request and only built once you approve them.
  3. You pay by milestoneProjects are paid in milestones set in your proposal. No project is billed in full upfront. Invoices are payable within 14 days unless your agreement says otherwise.
  4. You own the workCode, designs and accounts are registered to your company from day one. We keep our own pre-existing tools and methods.
  5. No lock-inEither side can end a project with written notice, and you pay for the work done up to then. Retainers run month to month with 30 days written notice.
  6. 30 days of fixes after launchDefects in what we delivered are fixed for 30 days after launch. New features and third-party changes are quoted separately.

Questions about react native apps

The things people ask before they book. If yours is missing, ask us on a call or on WhatsApp.

Still have a question?

Thirty minutes with us usually answers everything, including whether we are the right fit.

For most business apps, users cannot tell the difference. Lists, forms, maps, payments and notifications all work well. Native pulls ahead for heavy graphics, demanding animation or unusual device features. We check your feature list first and say which side you fall on.

Expo is a toolset on top of React Native that simplifies building, testing and releasing. It also lets us send some fixes to users without a full store review, within the stores' rules. We use it by default and tell you if your app needs something else.

Sometimes it makes sense, sometimes not. We review your app and tell you plainly. A gradual move, one screen at a time, can be safer than a full rewrite. If your app is mostly native-only features, we will say it is better left alone.

No. The code is yours, in plain TypeScript with documentation, so another team can continue it. If you outgrow it, parts can be rebuilt natively. We hold no keys, accounts or code that you would have to ask us for.

We take whole projects rather than supplying individual developers. If you want to extend an existing app, we can scope that as a project with a fixed price. Our team is senior only, and you talk directly to the engineers doing the work.
