Overview

Web applications, in plain words

A web application is software that runs in the browser and does a job for a logged-in user: a customer portal, a booking system, a dashboard or a SaaS product. We are a web application development company that builds these end to end as one team.

A web app is the right choice when people need to log in, store their own data or move through steps that change with each user. If you only need to explain your business, a website is cheaper and faster, and we will say so.

We start with the smallest first release that proves the idea. You see working software early, you own the code, and we plan what comes next from real use.

Who it is for

  • Founders with an idea who need a working first release
  • Companies replacing spreadsheets and email chains with a proper tool
  • Businesses that want a customer portal with logins and records
  • Teams that need an internal dashboard connected to their existing data

What you get

  • A working application in a hosting account you own
  • Full source code in your own repository
  • A written list of what is in the first release and what comes later
  • Documentation your next developer can follow

Problems this work fixes

If one of these sounds familiar, you are in the right place.

  1. Work lives in spreadsheets and messagesData is copied by hand and nobody knows which version is right. A simple app with one source of truth removes most of the mess.
  2. The idea is too big for a first releaseLong feature lists delay launch and hide what users actually need. We cut the plan down to what proves the idea.
  3. Designer, front-end and back-end never talkSplit teams produce screens that the back end cannot support. One team that handles design, code and data avoids those gaps.
  4. You are locked to one supplierSome builders keep the code or the hosting. Everything we build lives in your accounts.

How it works

How the work runs

  1. Scope the first release

We list users, flows and the data involved. Then we agree the plan and the price.

  2. Design the flows

You click through the screens before the build begins.

  3. Build in milestones

You see working software on a live link at each milestone.

  4. Launch and learn

We deploy, hand over the code and plan the next release from real use.

Straight answer: We run basic security checks and follow standard practice for logins and data. That is not a formal penetration test, and we do not claim certification. If your sector needs one, we will tell you to hire a specialist for it.

Quick answers

About cost and timing

The things people ask right after they see a price.

It depends on the number of user types, screens, integrations and data rules. Our plans show a starting price for the project. After scoping, we give you a fixed price for the first release in writing. Once agreed, it does not change.

Our web projects run 3 to 10 weeks, with apps toward the longer end. Logins, integrations and complex rules add time. You get a dated plan after scoping, and we tell you early if anything moves it, so there are no surprises.

How we contract

Clear terms, before you spend anything

The commercial side in plain words. The full wording is in our terms, and your proposal sets the details.

  1. A written proposal comes firstScope, deliverables, milestones, price and timeline, in writing. Work starts when you accept it.
  2. The price does not moveOnce agreed, the number in the proposal is the number on the invoice. Changes to scope are quoted as a written change request and only built once you approve them.
  3. You pay by milestoneProjects are paid in milestones set in your proposal. No project is billed in full upfront. Invoices are payable within 14 days unless your agreement says otherwise.
  4. You own the workCode, designs and accounts are registered to your company from day one. We keep our own pre-existing tools and methods.
  5. No lock-inEither side can end a project with written notice, and you pay for the work done up to then. Retainers run month to month with 30 days written notice.
  6. 30 days of fixes after launchDefects in what we delivered are fixed for 30 days after launch. New features and third-party changes are quoted separately.

Questions about web applications

The things people ask before they book. If yours is missing, ask us on a call or on WhatsApp.

Still have a question?

Thirty minutes with us usually answers everything, including whether we are the right fit.

If users have a browser and the task is not tied to phone features, a web app is usually quicker and cheaper to start, and easier to update. Phone-only needs, such as camera access or offline use, may point to a mobile app instead. We will tell you.

Next.js, React, TypeScript, Node.js and PostgreSQL, deployed to Vercel or AWS. These are common tools, so any competent developer can pick the project up later without us. We pick the stack to suit your needs, not our habits, and explain why.

Yes, all of it. The code goes into your repository and the app runs in your hosting account. Nothing depends on us, and you can bring in another team at any time without asking us first or paying a release fee.

Yes, and we usually recommend it. We build the smallest release that tests the idea with real users. Then we add features you have proof people want, instead of guessing, which keeps the first price low and the risk small.

Every project includes 30 days of fixes. After that you can run it yourself, since the code is documented, or agree a monthly plan with us for updates and small changes. It is optional, and the code stays yours either way.
