How much does a video shoot cost in Delhi NCR?
The video shoot cost in Delhi NCR is the sum of a few things: how many days you film, how many people come, what kit they bring, where you film, who appears on camera and how much editing follows. Change any one of those and the quote moves. There is no single fair price for "a video", so any number quoted without a brief is a guess.
We have not published video prices yet, so this guide gives you no rupee figures. That is deliberate. A made-up average would only anchor you to a number that has nothing to do with your job. What we can do is show you how a quote is built, so you can read any quote, ours or someone else's, and see what you are paying for.
What goes into a video shoot quote?
A quote is built from seven parts. Some studios show them as lines, others fold them into one figure. Ask for the lines. If you want to see how we plan a shoot end to end, our video production service page lists the stages.
| Cost driver | What it means | What changes the cost |
|---|---|---|
| Shoot days | Hours on location, plus setup and pack-down | More products, more set changes, more people on camera |
| Crew | Camera operator, lighting, sound, a director or producer | A one-person shoot is cheaper than a four-person shoot, but it limits what you can film |
| Equipment | Cameras, lenses, lights, microphones, gimbal, extra batteries | Cinema kit, drone or special lighting adds cost |
| Location | Your shop, a rented studio, a public place | Studio hire, permits and travel time add cost; your own space is usually the cheapest |
| Talent | Who appears on camera | Hired models, actors or voiceover cost extra; you and your staff do not |
| Editing | Cutting, colour, sound, captions, graphics, music licence | Length, number of videos and amount of motion graphics |
| Revisions | Rounds of changes after the first cut | More rounds, or changes that need a re-shoot |
The two parts people forget are editing and revisions. Filming is the visible part, but editing a video well usually takes longer than shooting it. A quote that covers only the shoot day is not a full quote.
Is a video priced per day, per video or per month?
All three exist, and each suits a different buyer. Pick the model that matches how often you need video.
| Pricing model | How it works | Suits | Watch out for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Day rate | You pay for a filming day, and editing is quoted on top | One-off shoots, a product line, a brand film | Check whether editing is included, and how many videos the day should produce |
| Per video | One price for a finished video of an agreed length | Single ads, testimonials, explainers | The length, formats and revisions must be written down |
| Monthly retainer | A fixed number of finished videos each month | Brands that post often | Agree the number of videos, shoot days and revision rounds, or the scope drifts |
Our view: for a first project, ask for a per-video or per-shoot price with the deliverables listed. It is the easiest to compare. Move to a monthly plan only after you know the videos work for you. We build all three around your budget, and once the price is agreed it does not change.
What should a video quote include?
A good quote reads like a checklist. Before you say yes, check that it states each of these:
- Shot list. What will be filmed, in what order. It stops "we forgot to film that" on the day.
- Deliverables. The number of videos, their lengths and the formats, for example vertical 9:16 for Reels and 16:9 for YouTube.
- Revision rounds. How many rounds are included, and what counts as a round (trimming and text fixes, not a new idea).
- Usage rights. Where you can use the video and for how long. Ask about paid ads separately.
- Raw footage policy. Whether you get the unedited files, and whether that costs extra.
- Music and stock licences. Who pays for them and which platforms they cover.
- Travel and parking. Often missing from cheap quotes.
- Payment steps. What is paid before the shoot, and what is paid on delivery.
If a quote misses three or more of these, you are not comparing like with like. A lower price often means one of these lines is missing and will show up later as an extra.
Which questions should you ask before you book?
These questions tell you more than a showreel does.
- Can I see two complete videos you made for a business like mine?
- Who actually films and who actually edits? Are they the same people you showed me?
- How many finished videos will come from one shoot day, and how long will they run?
- What happens if the light, the weather or the location changes on the day?
- How are the files backed up before you leave the location?
- What are my rights over the raw footage after the project?
- What does a change cost after the final cut is signed off?
Pay attention to the answer to question 3. A studio that promises a very high number of videos from one day is either filming very simple clips or planning to rush. We would rather agree a realistic number and meet it.
Does the type of video change the cost?
Yes, because the type decides the days, crew and editing. A few patterns, with no prices attached:
- Product video shoot. Cost depends on the number of products, the set-ups each one needs and whether you want close detail shots. Shiny or transparent products take longer to light.
- Reel shoot. Reels are short, so editing per video is lighter, but a monthly batch needs a plan. If you are weighing reels against static posts, our guide on reels or posts and what brings enquiries helps you decide first. Our reels and short video page shows what a reel shoot includes.
- Corporate or brand video. Interviews, several locations and a script push the cost up. Sound matters most here, because people forgive a soft picture before they forgive poor audio.
- Testimonial video. Cheap to film, but a good one needs a prepared customer and a few simple questions.
How can you reduce the cost without making the video worse?
Cutting cost is easy. Cutting it without cutting quality needs planning. These are the changes we suggest first.
- Batch your shoot. Film several videos in one visit. Setup, travel and crew are fixed costs per day, so spreading them over more videos lowers the cost of each one.
- Use one location. Moving between places eats the day. Choose the one space that shows your business best.
- Write the script and shot list first. Time lost on set deciding what to film is paid for by the hour. A clear script is the cheapest improvement you can make.
- Prepare the people. Tell staff and customers the time, what to wear and what you will ask them. Retakes cost money.
- Limit the revision rounds. Collect every comment from everyone in one list. Three rounds of different opinions cost more than one round of agreed ones.
- Skip what you will not use. Drone shots, special graphics and several languages are good if they serve the video. If they do not, drop them.
- Own the simple parts yourself. Having your own props, products and a tidy space ready saves set time.
What we would not cut: sound, light and the edit. A cheaper camera is fine. Bad audio is not.

Frequently asked questions
Why do two studios quote very different prices for the same video?
Usually because they are quoting different things. One may include editing, music and two revision rounds, and the other may price only the filming day. Ask both for a line-by-line list and compare the lists, not the totals.
Do I pay extra for the footage I film?
It depends on the agreement. Some studios hand over the raw files with the final video, and others charge to release them or never do. Ask before the shoot and get the answer in writing, because it is hard to negotiate afterwards.
Is it cheaper to shoot on a phone?
Sometimes, yes. A modern phone can film good video when the light and sound are handled well, and that suits many reels. The planning, lighting, audio and edit still take the same effort, so the saving is smaller than people expect.
How far ahead should I book a shoot in Delhi NCR?
Book as soon as your shot list is ready, since crew and locations fill up. Exact lead times depend on the project, so we confirm dates when we agree the scope. Weather and festival weeks can also move a location shoot, so leave a spare day for outdoor work.
Can I get a quote before I have a script?
Yes, if you can tell us the purpose, the length and the number of videos. We can give you a plan from that and refine it once the script is written. Expect the quote to change if the script adds locations or people.
