How do you choose a web development company in Noida?
Ask ten questions before you sign, and judge the company on how specific the answers are. A good web development company in Noida can tell you who builds your site, what is in scope, who owns the code and domain, and what happens after launch, all in writing. A weak one answers with "don't worry, we will take care of it."
We are a web development company in Noida ourselves, so read this with that in mind. We wrote the questions so you can use them on us too. Our own web development service page shows how we answer them. If you want a guide for the Gulf market, we wrote one for Dubai. This one is for owners in Noida, Delhi, Gurugram, Ghaziabad and the rest of NCR.
Why does location matter when you hire in Noida or Delhi NCR?
Not as much as it used to, and more than agencies admit. Most of the work happens online, so a team in another city can build you a good site. But a local team gives you three things that are hard to fake.
- Same time zone and language. Your calls happen in your working day, in the language you think in. Hindi, English or a mix.
- Meetings in person. You can sit in a room, look at the screen together and settle in one hour what takes two weeks of messages. We are based in Noida and can meet clients in Noida and Delhi NCR.
- Indian paperwork. GST invoices, rupee quotes and agreements under Indian law are routine, not a special request.
None of this makes a company good. It only makes the questions below easier to ask face to face.
What are the 10 questions to ask a web development company?
Here are the ten, with the answer you want and the sign to walk away.
1. Who will actually build my website?
You want names and roles: the designer, the developer, the person you will speak to. If any work goes to a freelancer or another firm, you should be told. Red flag: "Our team will handle it" and no names.
2. What is in the scope, in writing?
The quote should list pages, the unique layouts, forms, integrations, content help and what is excluded. Red flag: a single lump sum with "website" as the only line.
3. Who owns the code, domain and hosting accounts?
You do, from day one. The domain should be registered in your name and the hosting, analytics and Search Console accounts should be yours. Red flag: "we keep the domain for convenience" or "we will transfer it once the support contract ends."
4. Will I get a GST invoice, and what are the payment terms?
A registered Indian company issues a proper GST invoice for every payment. Ask for the payment schedule too. Red flag: cash only, no invoice, or a request for the full amount before you have seen anything. Invoices matter if you claim input tax credit, so check this before the first payment.
5. How is the payment split into milestones?
Each payment should be tied to something you can see, such as the approved design, the working staging site and the final launch. Red flag: most of the money upfront with no checkpoint where you can stop.
6. What support do I get after launch?
Ask how long bug fixes are covered, what is a bug and what is a change, and what monthly maintenance costs. Red flag: "support" with no definition, or a build that only the original developer can maintain.
7. How fast will the site be on a phone?
Most visitors in India will open your site on a mobile phone, often on a mobile connection. Ask the company to run Google's PageSpeed Insights on their own recent projects while you watch. Our guide to Core Web Vitals explains what the scores measure. Red flag: heavy sliders, autoplay video and a promise that "it will be fast" without a test.
8. What SEO basics are built in?
You do not need a promise of rankings. You need the basics done: unique page titles and descriptions, one H1 per page, clean URLs, a sitemap, descriptive image text, structured data and Search Console set up. For the full picture, see our SEO service. Red flag: anyone who guarantees page one. Nobody outside Google controls that.
9. Can I speak to a past client?
Ask for a live site and a contact you can call. Open the live site yourself. Red flag: only screenshots, or "our clients are under NDA" for every project.
10. How do you price changes after we start?
Changes will happen. The question is what they cost. A fair answer is that small edits are included and larger ones are quoted in writing before work begins. Red flag: hourly billing with no cap or approval step.
How do the ten questions compare in one table?
Print this and take it to your meetings. Tick each row for each company on your shortlist.
| # | Topic | Good answer sounds like | Walk-away sign |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Who builds | Named people and roles | "Our team" |
| 2 | Scope | Pages, features and exclusions listed | One lump sum |
| 3 | Ownership | Your name on domain, hosting, code | Agency keeps the logins |
| 4 | GST invoice | Proper invoice at each payment | Cash, no invoice |
| 5 | Milestones | Payments tied to visible stages | Most money upfront |
| 6 | Support | Defined period and scope | "Support" with no detail |
| 7 | Phone speed | Tested live on their own work | Promise, no test |
| 8 | SEO basics | A list of what is built in | Guaranteed rankings |
| 9 | References | A live site and a number to call | Screenshots only |
| 10 | Changes | Quoted in writing first | Open-ended hourly billing |
What should you do before the first call?
A short brief saves everyone time and makes quotes comparable. Write down your goal, your pages, any systems the site must connect to and your budget range. Our guide on how to write a website brief for a developer gives you a template. Then send the same brief to every company. If one quote is far from the others, ask what they left out or what they added. Our guide on what a website costs explains what drives the price.
What would we choose, if we were you?
We would pick the company that answers questions 1, 2, 3 and 5 clearly, even if its price is not the lowest. Those four decide whether you can recover when something goes wrong. Price comes after that. Our approach is "flexible on scope, firm on price": we shape the plan around your budget, and once you agree to the price, it does not change.

Frequently asked questions
Is it better to hire a local web development company in Noida or a freelancer?
It depends on how much of the work you cannot do yourself. A freelancer can suit a small, clear job. A company gives you several skills, a second person if one is ill and a contract that outlasts one individual. Ask a freelancer the same ten questions.
Do I need to meet the developers in person?
You do not have to, but for a first project it helps. A single in-person hour on the design and the scope often clears up misunderstandings that would take days online. A Noida company should be happy to meet you in Noida or Delhi NCR.
Can a Noida company build a site for customers outside India?
Yes. Many projects are built for customers abroad, because the work is done online. Check the time overlap for calls and ask how invoices and payments work for your country.
What should a website quote include?
It should list pages and features, what is excluded, the payment milestones, the timeline and what you receive at handover. Source code, domain, hosting and accounts should be named in your company's name.
How long does a business website take to build?
It depends on the number of pages and the features, and on how quickly you send content and feedback. Ask for a dated plan with stages, not a single end date. Delays often come from missing content, so agree who supplies what.
