We are a small senior team in Noida, India, working 09:00 to 21:00 India time, Monday to Saturday. In Sydney and Melbourne that is 13:30 to 01:30 AEST and 14:30 to 02:30 AEDT, so a 09:00 to 17:00 day overlaps with us live for about 3.5 hours in AEST and 2.5 hours in AEDT. Every message gets a reply within 12 hours.

We do not have an Australian office. We overlap with your afternoons, then keep working into your evening, so what we finish is waiting at the start of your day.

The honest picture on time zones

Australia and India are a few hours apart, not twelve. You can talk to us live in your afternoon, hand over feedback before you leave and find a new build waiting in the morning. If you need someone on a call at 9am Sydney time, we are not the right fit, and we will say so on the first call.

Cost, in plain numbers

A local studio's price carries local office costs and larger teams. A small senior offshore team charges less for the same scope. Our Starter first release is from $12,000, a Growth app is $15,000 to $35,000 and Premium apps are $35,000 to $80,000 or more. We quote in US dollars and do not convert from Australian dollars, so your bank's exchange rate applies when you pay.

Always compare scope with price. A low quote that omits testing, store submission or the back-end is unfinished, not cheap.

Privacy Act and your users

If your business is covered by the Privacy Act, your customers' personal information stays your responsibility when a developer handles it. We work inside tools you own, keep data in your accounts and ask only for the access a task needs. We build in consent and a way for users to see and delete their data. We do not claim any certification.

We are not lawyers, so confirm what applies to you with your own adviser.

Your code, your accounts

The code lives in your GitHub organisation from the first week. The Apple Developer and Google Play accounts are opened in your company's name and builds are signed with keys you hold. An agreement assigns all intellectual property to you on payment, and a non-disclosure agreement comes before any technical conversation.

Cross-platform, with native where it counts

One codebase for iPhone and Android means one team, one release plan and one set of bugs. We build with React Native (Expo) or Flutter, depending on your product and who will maintain it. If the app needs deep platform features, we tell you when native code is a better choice.

GST and payment

We invoice from India in USD. Whether GST applies to an invoice from an overseas supplier depends on your business and how you are registered. We are not tax advisers, so please confirm the treatment with your own accountant before you sign. Work is paid in milestones, never all upfront, by card, Wise or international bank transfer.

Personal data and a team in India

Australia's Privacy Act 1988 covers many businesses, and Australian Privacy Principle 8 deals with sending personal information overseas. Many small businesses are outside the Act, but not all, and the rules are under review.

  • We write down which personal data we would see, where it is stored and who has access, and agree it in writing.
  • We work inside your accounts and tools, so the data stays under your control, and you can remove our access.
  • Whether the Act applies to you, and what APP 8 asks of you, is for your own adviser. We give them the facts about how we work.
  • We tell you honestly when a local team would suit you better, for example for work that needs to be on site or in person.

How we contract

Clear terms, before you spend anything

The commercial side in plain words. The full wording is in our terms, and your proposal sets the details.

  1. A written proposal comes firstScope, deliverables, milestones, price and timeline, in writing. Work starts when you accept it.
  2. The price does not moveOnce agreed, the number in the proposal is the number on the invoice. Changes to scope are quoted as a written change request and only built once you approve them.
  3. You pay by milestoneProjects are paid in milestones set in your proposal. No project is billed in full upfront. Invoices are payable within 14 days unless your agreement says otherwise.
  4. You own the workCode, designs and accounts are registered to your company from day one. We keep our own pre-existing tools and methods.
  5. No lock-inEither side can end a project with written notice, and you pay for the work done up to then. Retainers run month to month with 30 days written notice.
  6. 30 days of fixes after launchDefects in what we delivered are fixed for 30 days after launch. New features and third-party changes are quoted separately.
