Your afternoons, live

We work 09:00 to 21:00 India time, Monday to Saturday. In Sydney and Melbourne that is 13:30 to 01:30 in AEST and 14:30 to 02:30 in AEDT, so we overlap with your afternoons and keep building after you finish.

A Shopify development agency for Australian brands has to get a few plain things right: prices that show correctly with GST, shipping rates that make sense from Perth to Cairns, a choice of ways to pay, and a store that stays up when a sale goes live. We build Shopify stores for Australian sellers from our base in Noida, India, starting from $3,000. Our prices are in US dollars, not Australian dollars, and the price is agreed in writing before work starts.

Our 09:00 to 21:00 IST day, Monday to Saturday, is 13:30 to 01:30 in Sydney and Melbourne during AEST, and 14:30 to 02:30 during AEDT. In Perth it is 11:30 to 23:30. So we are live with you in your afternoon and evening, and a question you send in the morning is answered within 12 hours.

We work remotely and have no office or staff in Australia. Below is how we handle the local details, what we leave to your providers and accountant, and when a local agency is the better pick.

Pricing in Australian dollars, with GST done properly

Australian shoppers expect to see one price that already includes GST, and a clear total at checkout. Shopify can show prices with tax included and can calculate GST on orders. We set that up the way your accountant tells us, and place your ABN on invoices and order emails if they ask for it.

We do not give tax advice. Whether you are registered for GST, how you treat exports, and what a tax invoice must show are questions for your accountant. We ask for the exact rules and test sample orders for them to review before launch.

Delivery across a very large country

Distance is the main shipping issue here. A parcel from Melbourne to Sydney is a different cost and promise from one to Darwin or regional Western Australia. Shoppers want to know the delivery time and the cost before they pay, and free shipping thresholds are common.

We set up shipping zones and rates for the regions you serve, and connect Australia Post or other local couriers only where your provider's Shopify integration supports it. Rates, contracts and cut-off times come from the courier, and the account is yours. We also design the address form with a state and postcode that validate properly.

  • Zones for metro, regional and remote areas, with rates you set
  • Free shipping thresholds and the message that explains them
  • Tracking emails that point to the courier's tracking page

Payments and Afterpay

Most Australian stores take cards and wallets such as Apple Pay and PayPal. Buy now, pay later is also common in categories like fashion, beauty and homewares. Afterpay is one of those options, and you can enable it if your payment setup supports it and you are approved by the provider.

We connect only what you choose and hold an account for. We place the payment messages on product and cart pages, and test a real order in each method before launch. Fees, approval times and eligibility are between you and the provider, and we tell you which questions to ask them.

Seasonal peaks that decide the year

For many Australian brands the calendar has fixed pressure points. Black Friday and Cyber Monday in late November, then Christmas cut-off dates for shipping. Boxing Day sales soon after. And the end of the financial year on 30 June, when some stores run sales and many business buyers spend before the year closes.

We plan builds so launch and testing finish well before a peak, and we load-test checkout flows and discount rules in advance.

Moving from another platform without losing search traffic

If you sell on WooCommerce or another platform today, we map every old product and collection URL to its new Shopify address with permanent redirects, move products and the customer data you are allowed to move, and check Search Console after launch.

If you are starting fresh, we plan collection and product pages around the words Australians use, such as local spelling and sizing, and make sure the store can be found on Google Shopping once you set up your Merchant Center account.

When a local agency is the better choice

If you want a team in your office or warehouse, a local agency is better. If your store is a marketplace, a booking site or has complex trade pricing, Shopify may not be the right tool, and we will say so.

If you need an Australian-registered company on the contract, we cannot provide that. And if you have a very tight budget and a simple catalogue, a good theme you set up yourself can serve you better than a custom build.

Your data

Personal data and a team in India

Australia's Privacy Act 1988 covers many businesses, and Australian Privacy Principle 8 deals with sending personal information overseas. Many small businesses are outside the Act, but not all, and the rules are under review.

  • We write down which personal data we would see, where it is stored and who has access, and agree it in writing.
  • We work inside your accounts and tools, so the data stays under your control, and you can remove our access.
  • Whether the Act applies to you, and what APP 8 asks of you, is for your own adviser. We give them the facts about how we work.
  • We tell you honestly when a local team would suit you better, for example for work that needs to be on site or in person.

This is plain-language information about how we work, not legal advice. Please have your own adviser check what applies to your business.

How we contract

Clear terms, before you spend anything

The commercial side in plain words. The full wording is in our terms, and your proposal sets the details.

  1. A written proposal comes firstScope, deliverables, milestones, price and timeline, in writing. Work starts when you accept it.
  2. The price does not moveOnce agreed, the number in the proposal is the number on the invoice. Changes to scope are quoted as a written change request and only built once you approve them.
  3. You pay by milestoneProjects are paid in milestones set in your proposal. No project is billed in full upfront. Invoices are payable within 14 days unless your agreement says otherwise.
  4. You own the workCode, designs and accounts are registered to your company from day one. We keep our own pre-existing tools and methods.
  5. No lock-inEither side can end a project with written notice, and you pay for the work done up to then. Retainers run month to month with 30 days written notice.
  6. 30 days of fixes after launchDefects in what we delivered are fixed for 30 days after launch. New features and third-party changes are quoted separately.

Quick answers

About cost and timing

The things people ask right after they see a price.

Prices are in US dollars. A Starter store is from $3,000, a Growth store runs from $6,000 to $15,000 and a Premium build from $15,000 to $45,000 and above. Shopify's plan, apps and payment fees are extra and billed to you. We write the full price down before we begin, and it does not change.

Our international price list is in US dollars, and we prefer to be clear than to convert at a rate that moves. Check the exchange rate when you plan your budget, and ask us about how invoices and payment are handled when we send the quote. The scope and price are fixed once agreed.

A simple store can go live in a few weeks. A migration with many products, several markets and integrations takes longer. We give a dated plan with the quote. Late product photos and copy are the most common cause of delay, so tell us your sale date early and we work back from it.

We set the store up to show prices and tax lines the way your accountant specifies, and add your ABN where required. We do not give tax advice. Please confirm GST registration and invoice rules with your own accountant, and we will test a sample order for them to check.

Australia FAQ

Questions about Shopify development in Australia

Cost, timing, trust and ownership, answered before you ask.

Still have a question?

Thirty minutes with us usually answers everything, including whether we are the right fit.

Where the courier or your Shopify plan offers an integration, yes. We set up zones, rates and tracking and test a real order. Contracts, prices and cut-off times come from the courier. If no integration exists for your chosen service, we tell you early and suggest a workable alternative.

It is an option you can enable, if your payment setup supports it and the provider approves your store. You hold the account and we connect it, then test it with real orders. We do not choose a provider for you, and the fees and terms are between you and them.

You get senior developers and a price built for our cost base, with live hours in your afternoon and evening. The trade-off is that we work remotely, have no office in Australia and are not an Australian-registered company. For a hands-on, in-person relationship, a local agency suits better.

You do. The Shopify account, domain, payment accounts and customer data sit in your business name, and we work as staff users. Custom theme code written for you is yours. If we stop working together, you keep everything and can hand it to another developer.

Often yes, if we start early enough. Work back from your sale date, leave time for testing, and avoid big changes in the last two weeks. We check checkout, discount rules and shipping on real orders. Tell us your date on the first call, and we will say whether it is realistic.
