In short
What does restaurant digital marketing actually involve?
Restaurant digital marketing is the work of getting hungry people nearby to find you, choose you and come back. In practice that means a complete Google Business Profile with menu, photos and replied reviews, a fast website with direct ordering or table booking, short videos on Instagram, and WhatsApp messages that bring past guests back with their permission.
Who it is for
- Independent restaurants and cafes that want more covers on slow weekday nights
- Cloud kitchens that live on delivery apps and want some orders of their own
- Bakeries and dessert shops that take custom cake and festive orders on WhatsApp
- Small chains with two to ten outlets that need every location listed and managed properly
- New openings that need a menu, a Maps listing and a booking link before day one
What goes wrong
Why restaurants and cafes lose enquiries online
- Your Google listing is doing your marketing badlyMany diners meet you on Google Maps before they meet you in person. If the menu is an old photo a customer uploaded, the hours are wrong on a holiday and the last ten reviews have no reply, people scroll to the next place. They never tell you why.
- The delivery apps own your customersAggregator apps bring real volume, and we would not tell most kitchens to leave them. But the app keeps the customer's name, number and order history, sets the rules on your menu page, and takes a share of every order. You end up renting your own regulars.
- Instagram takes hours and brings likes, not ordersYou post good-looking food, the views come, and the tables stay half empty. The usual gap is simple: no clear reason to visit this week, no booking or order link in the bio, and nobody answering DMs fast while the person is still hungry.
- WhatsApp is chaos at 8 pmOrders, cake enquiries, table requests and complaints all land on one phone while the floor is busy. Messages wait, people order elsewhere, and there is no record of who ordered what, so you cannot thank or invite back your best guests.
- Reviews happen to you instead of being managedA happy family leaves without being asked, and the one guest who waited too long writes a long review. Over time your rating reflects your worst nights, not your normal ones. A calm system for asking and replying fixes most of that, and it has to stay inside Google's rules.
What we build
What we build for restaurants and cafes
- Google Business Profile and local SEOWe set up and look after your listing the way Google describes it: correct categories and hours, a typed menu with sections and prices, a menu link, real photos of the room and the dishes, and replies to every review. Then we work on the 'near me' and 'best biryani in Indiranagar' style searches that decide who gets the walk-in.Learn more
- A restaurant website that loads fast on a phoneOne page diners actually use: the menu as text (not a blurry PDF), opening hours, a map, parking or delivery area notes, and one clear button to book or order. Text menus can be read by Google and AI assistants, which photos of a menu often cannot.Learn more
- Direct ordering and table booking you ownAn online ordering website or booking flow on your own domain, so the customer's name, number and order history stay with you. We connect it to your payment gateway and kitchen workflow, and you keep running the apps alongside it.Learn more
- Instagram and short videoInstagram marketing for restaurants that is built around reasons to visit: the new dish, the weekend brunch, the chef plating, the queue on a Friday. Short Reels, a bio that books or orders in one tap, and DMs answered while people are still deciding.Learn more
- WhatsApp ordering, reminders and loyaltyA WhatsApp assistant that shares the menu, takes orders and cake enquiries, confirms bookings and sends a reminder on the day, with a person taking over when needed. Guests who opt in get the occasional invite, such as a birthday offer or a new menu, never a daily blast.Learn more
- Local ads when you need a pushMeta ads around a tight radius for a launch, a festive menu or a slow Tuesday, sent to your booking link or WhatsApp. Small budgets, short tests, and we stop what does not bring covers or orders.Learn more

How it works in practice
From a hungry search to a returning regular
- 1
The search
Someone types 'cafe near me' or 'shawarma open now'. Your listing shows the right hours, a typed menu with prices, fresh photos and a rating with real replies. That is the moment most restaurants win or lose.
- 2
The decision
They tap through to your site or Instagram and see a clear menu and one button: book a table, order direct, or message on WhatsApp. No hunting for a phone number, no PDF to zoom into.
- 3
The visit or the order
The booking is confirmed on WhatsApp with a reminder on the day, or the order goes straight to the kitchen. Afterwards the guest gets a short thank-you with a link to leave an honest Google review, and no reward attached.
- 4
The return
Guests who agreed to hear from you get a few useful messages a month at most: the new seasonal menu, a birthday treat, an invite for a quiet weekday. Each return visit is one you did not have to buy again from an app or an ad.
Where you are
Working with restaurants and cafes in India, the UAE and beyond
India
In Indian cities the delivery apps are where many cloud kitchens start, and the smart move is usually to add a direct channel next to them rather than leave. ONDC, the government-backed open network, is one more route: a restaurant joins it through a seller app (ONDC calls these seller network participants), which lists the menu and handles payments. If regulars already message you on WhatsApp to order, we often start there, with a menu, a payment link and order records in one place. We write Google listings and posts in English and, where your guests use it, Hindi or the local language, and we plan around the big ordering moments: IPL match nights, Diwali sweets and gift boxes, Christmas cakes. Prices are shown in INR, and we keep pages light enough for an ordinary mobile connection.
UAE
In Dubai and Abu Dhabi a diner may check your Google Maps listing, your Instagram and a delivery app before choosing, so all three must match. We plan menus, posts and listings in English and Arabic, with AED prices, and we time campaigns around Ramadan iftar and suhoor, the cooler months when terraces open, and weekend brunch. If you work with food creators, check their permits first: the UAE Media Council introduced an Advertiser Permit in 2025 for people publishing promotional content on social media, and the council has asked companies to work only with licensed creators. Our hours (07:30 to 19:30 Dubai time) cover your whole working day.
Restaurants and cafes FAQ
Questions restaurants and cafes ask us
Straight answers before you book. If yours is missing, ask on a call or on WhatsApp.
Still have a question?
Thirty minutes with us usually answers everything, including whether we are the right fit.
It depends on what you need first. A restaurant website starts from INR 30,000 in India or AED 5,000 in the UAE, social media management from INR 9,000 or $900 per month, and local SEO from INR 10,000 or $1,000 per month. We shape the plan around your budget and agree the price in writing before we start. Once agreed, it does not change.
Usually not. The apps bring customers you would not reach alone, and for many cloud kitchens they are the main channel. What we build is a second channel you own: your own ordering link, WhatsApp and a list of guests who opted in. Over time some regulars move to ordering direct, and you decide how far to take it.
Fixing a Google listing, menu and hours can change what people see within days, because Google says menu edits usually appear in 24 to 48 hours. Reviews, local rankings and a WhatsApp list build over months, not weeks. We will not promise a ranking or a number of covers. We show you calls, direction requests, bookings and direct orders every month so you can judge.
We can help you ask every happy guest, by QR code on the table or bill and a link after a booking or order. We cannot buy reviews, write them or offer discounts for them. Google treats rewarded reviews as fake engagement and removes them, and it can put the whole listing at risk. Honest asking and fast, polite replies work better anyway.
Meta's rules say you need the guest's opt-in first, with your business name and what they are agreeing to receive made clear. We build that consent into the booking or order flow, keep a record of it and give an easy way to stop. Local laws also apply, so check with your adviser if you collect data at scale. Meta also charges per delivered template message, so a small list of willing guests beats a big list of strangers.
You do. The domain, the code, the Google listing, the Instagram and Meta accounts, the WhatsApp number and every customer record are in your name from day one. If you stop working with us, you keep everything and can hand it to anyone.
Because the work is mostly done online and our team is senior. Our hours cover Dubai's whole working day, from 07:30 to 19:30 Dubai time, and every message gets a reply within 12 hours. We plan for Arabic and English, AED prices and the Ramadan calendar, and the price is agreed upfront so there are no surprises. What we cannot do is shoot your food in person, so we work with your own photos and videos or a local photographer you choose.
Start small. For many cafes the first month is just the Google listing, a typed menu, a one-page website and a review routine, and that alone often matters more than any ad. WhatsApp automation and direct ordering come later, when the volume justifies them. We will tell you honestly if something is not worth it yet.
