We are a Shopify development company in India, based in Noida, and we build online stores for D2C brands and small retailers. A Starter store with a customised theme, up to 50 products, payments and shipping for one market starts from ₹40,000. We agree the full price in writing before we begin, and it does not change once you approve it.

Indian stores have problems that a generic Shopify setup ignores. Many orders are cash on delivery. Customers want UPI. Some pincodes cannot be served by your courier, and you learn that after the customer has paid. Invoices need GST details. We plan for these on day one, not after launch.

We work Monday to Saturday, 09:00 to 21:00 IST, and every message gets a reply within 12 hours. You can also meet us in person if you are in Delhi NCR.

How Indian shoppers actually buy

Most of your traffic comes from a phone, often on a mobile network that is not fast. A store that feels fine on office wifi can feel slow on a budget Android handset. We test on real mid-range devices and cut what is heavy: oversized images, stacked apps and animations that add nothing.

Trust is the other barrier. First-time buyers from smaller cities may not know your brand. They look for a clear returns policy, a phone or WhatsApp number, honest delivery estimates and a way to pay on delivery. We put those where people look, not in the footer.

Payments: UPI, cards, wallets and cash on delivery

You choose the payment gateway, and we connect it. Indian gateways such as Razorpay and PayU are common choices, and each has its own fees, settlement time and checkout look, so we compare them with you before you sign up. The account is opened in your company's name.

Cash on delivery is something you may enable, not something we impose. It lifts conversion for many stores and also raises returns, because some buyers refuse the parcel at the door. We can set rules that fit your risk, for example COD only above or below an order value, or a small confirmation step by phone or WhatsApp. UPI and card options are set up the same way, by the gateway you pick.

  • Gateway compared and connected in your name
  • COD switched on or off by rule, if you want it
  • Checkout tested on phones before launch

GST, invoices and your accountant

If you are GST-registered, your invoices must show the right details, such as your GSTIN, the HSN code, the tax split and the place of supply. The right setup depends on how your accountant works, so we ask first. Then we configure tax settings, product tax details and the invoice process they want, using the app or workflow you choose.

We do not give tax advice. Please confirm your rates, registration and invoice format with your chartered accountant, and we will build to what they tell us. We also show prices the way Indian buyers expect, in rupees, with tax treatment made clear at checkout.

Shipping, pincodes and returns

Delivery is where Indian stores lose money. A courier may not reach every pincode, charges vary by weight and zone, and returns to origin cost you twice. We set up shipping rates by zone, add a pincode check on the product page where your courier supports it, and show a delivery estimate before checkout.

Many brands use a shipping aggregator to compare couriers and print labels. We connect the one you choose and test a few real orders with you before launch. You pay the aggregator and couriers directly, and the accounts are yours.

Festive peaks and planning the calendar

Indian retail runs on seasons: Diwali, Raksha Bandhan, wedding months, the end-of-season sales and the big marketplace sale weeks that shape what shoppers expect. Traffic arrives in bursts, and a store that was fine on a normal Tuesday can struggle on the busiest night.

We plan the build to finish well before your peak, test the checkout under real conditions, and keep the app list short. A late launch in October helps nobody. If your peak is close, tell us the date on the first call and we will work backwards from it.

When Shopify, or an agency like us, is not the right choice

If you sell a handful of items to people you already know, a simple WhatsApp catalogue may be enough for now. If your pricing, B2B rules or inventory logic are unusual, a custom or headless build may suit you better, and we will say so. If you want a store in a week for very little money, a self-serve theme will get you there.

If you need a team in your own city every day, a local agency may be a better fit. We deliver remotely, with in-person meetings only in Delhi NCR.

Your data

Personal data and the DPDP Act

India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 sets rules on consent and notice for personal data of people in India, and its detailed rules are being phased in.

  • We write down which personal data we would see, where it is stored and who has access, and agree it in writing.
  • We work inside your accounts and tools, so you keep control of the data, and you can remove our access.
  • We build clear consent and notice into forms and WhatsApp flows. What the Act requires of your business is for your own adviser to confirm.
  • Invoices are issued in rupees with GST, from our registered business details.

This is plain-language information about how we work, not legal advice. Please have your own adviser check what applies to your business.

Quick answers

About cost and timing

The things people ask right after they see a price.

A Starter store is from ₹40,000, a Growth store ₹1,00,000 to ₹2,50,000, and Premium builds ₹2,50,000 to ₹7,00,000 or more. Products, migration, custom design and integrations decide the figure. Shopify and app fees are paid by you separately. We confirm the price in writing before work starts.

A Starter store is often ready in a few weeks, and larger builds take longer because of products, migration and integrations. We give a date in the proposal and show working pages every week. Tell us your festive or launch deadline early, and we will plan backwards from it.

India FAQ

Questions about Shopify development in India

Cost, timing, trust and ownership, answered before you ask.

Still have a question?

Thirty minutes with us usually answers everything, including whether we are the right fit.

Yes, if you want them. We connect the payment gateway you choose, and you can enable COD as a payment method with rules such as order-value limits. UPI and card options come through the gateway. The accounts are in your name, and the fees depend on the provider and your plan.

We set up tax settings and the invoice process your accountant asks for, using the app or workflow you choose. We do not give tax advice, so please confirm rates, registration and invoice format with your chartered accountant. We then build to that, and test sample orders with them before launch.

We set shipping rates by zone, add a pincode check where your courier or aggregator supports it, and show delivery estimates before checkout. You choose the courier or aggregator, and we connect it and test real orders. Remote pincodes and returns still cost money, so we help you set rules that protect your margin.

Yes. We move products, customers and orders where the source platform allows, and we make a redirect map so your old links keep working and your search traffic is protected. Migration is part of the Growth plan, and we confirm it in the written price before we start.

You do. The Shopify account, domain, payment gateway and app subscriptions are in your company's name. We work as collaborators and you can remove us at any time. Custom code we write for your store is yours, and nothing is held back if we stop working together.

You deal with senior people who scope and build your store, with a fixed price and a reply within 12 hours. A freelancer can be cheaper but may be a single point of failure. A large firm may cost more and hand your project to juniors. We sit between the two.

Every project includes 30 days of fixes after launch. Your team can then manage products, prices and content without a developer. If you want ongoing help, we agree a maintenance plan separately. The store keeps running whether or not you hire us again.
